Summary |
CBE 3rd and 4th graders concluded their year learning about the concept of "Shalom." To exemplify the Jewish value of peace, students brainstormed, organized, and executed the first-ever "Seeds and Lemonade Stand for Peace." Students made wildflower seed packets and strawberry lemonade. They sold these items (along with oreos) during various spring events at CBE. Kind members and guests of CBE raised $225 in donations, which was sent to the Alliance For Ukraine. Alliance for Ukraine is a 501 (c)(3) registered nonprofit organization of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Ukraine, whose mission is to empower an international network of people, agencies, and organizations dedicated to fostering a self-determined and globally-connected Ukraine by enacting the shared values of the Peace Corps community. We are so proud of them and their efforts. If you have any thoughts or questions, please reach out to Morah Darcey at Darcey.Kramer@gmail.com.
