The focus of my mitzvah project is to help the Afghan Refugee Crisis. I am doing this because it is a current issue, and the religions of Islam and Judaism share many aspects. The Jewish people are also refugees. The main part of my project is to complete a nest-a-home opportunity with the African Community Center for an incoming Afghan Refugee family who is resettling in the Denver area.
