Greetings CBE members and friends,
Good news about a possible CBE service trip. I have just returned from my first trip to the Global Volunteers" Texas program and am delighted to report that the program is wonderful. It is a great combination of service projects, immersion, and learning about immigration and life on the southern border of the US. I believe this location and program would be perfect for a CBE team. It is a bit further than Rosebud, would take about 17 or more hours to drive, but is easily accessible by air. The dorm situation is quite fine; and for those who prefer , there is an option for motel accommodations. I was really impressed by our partners in San Juan, and their kindness and devotion. If any of you are interested in reading the blog from my most recent trip, please let me know and I will send it to you.
Here is what I need from you:
1. Are you interested in a CBE team to South Texas?
2. Could you commit to a one week program in October 2022? We are looking at the week of October 22, 2022
3. What questions do you have?
Here is the website to review as well.
Please respond quickly so that I can work with Global Volunteers on the details! In order to make this a CBE focused trip, we need commitments from 10 members as soon as possible. Don't delay: make your commitment to Tikkun Olam now.
And, let me know what questions you may have!
Barbara
