Summary |
Put me in Coach! I’m ready to play some coed, CBE Softball! I don’t care if I’m a “Hebrew National” or a “Mensch Warmer,” I just want to get outside and hit a ball with my fellow tribe-members.
Now in our 10th year of fielding teams with Evergreen Parks and Recreation, CBE is looking to keep our 1.000 batting average by fielding a 2021 team. Join some of the legends who’ve played before you, Rabbi Jamie “Jewel of the Diamond” Arnold, Jim “The Commish” Stellini, Dan “Homer” Herman, Iris “I think I got it!” Solomon and more.
Here are some of the particulars:
- The season has 10-12 games and runs from the end of May to the middle of August. Games are held on Thursdays and occasionally on Tuesdays due to rain-outs or field scheduling.
- The cost per player is between $55 and $65 per player. Besides playing, you’ll get an awesome cap and team shirt.
- You must be at least 18 years of age to play - minimum 15 years if a parent is also on the roster
- Games start at 6:00 or 7:00 pm. Fields used are Henika (near Evergreen High School) or Buchanan Field.
Note that this is coed ball so we need dudes and dudettes. A reasonable level of commitment is also required to field a full team of 5 men and 5 women at every game.
If interested, contact Elizabeth at elizabeth@bethevergreen.org.
The deadline to know if we have enough interest to form a team is April 30th. So don’t kvetch and stretch your decision out too long!
