We at Congregation Beth Evergreen (CBE) are horrified by the attacks by Hamas on October 7.

Many have asked us what they could do to help in these challenging times. CBE is proud to say that we have aligned ourselves with Project C.U.R.E. to send medical supplies to Soroka Medical Center, which is in southern Israel 25 miles from Gaza. On October 7, Soroka Medical Center treated nearly 700 emergency patients.

We are in touch with the Director General of Soroka, who says his greatest needs are for emergency medical supplies and to expand Soroka’s rehabilitation unit.

Project C.U.R.E. is a nationwide organization headquartered in Centennial, CO, that takes in donated medical equipment and supplies and sends them around the world to areas in need. They have been in operation for 35 years.  Project C.U.R.E. has been working with various hospitals in Israel and they have flown two shipments to Israel since October 7.

Each shipment costs requires a donation of approximately $30,000, but the total value of each shipment of equipment and supplies is in excess of $300,000.

Individuals may make donations directly to the fund using the “donate” button below. The accumulated donation of $30,000 will be used to fund this shipment to Israel. Anything left over will be sent to Magen David Adom, the organization that operates the ambulances in Israel and provides paramedic education.

We are approaching synagogues, churches, and other non-profit organizations in the Denver/Boulder area to participate. With this project, we can pool our funds to create a synergistic effect. This project also unites our community and demonstrates our solidarity and commitment.
