All Day for 2 DaysCongregation Beth Evergreen

CBE Staff and Jubilee committee and volunteers have been hard at work to plan a meaningful weekend. While details are still in the works, here’s the plan:

Friday evening (Sept 6) Shabbat family-style dinner and dancing. The sanctuary is the setting for reconnecting with old friends and forging new relationships. The Story of CBE video will be shown for the first time, and you don’t want to miss this! And when was the last time you danced to 70’s music? Doesn’t matter what “Gen” you are, the music will get you off your feet! All Challah bakers are “kneaded” and encouraged to bring a challah to share with the meal.

Saturday morning  (Sept 7) Torah service - a truly special service where we’ll discuss the teachings that have guided CBE throughout our short history as well as our much longer Jewish history. This will be followed by a community kiddush lunch in the social hall and outdoor amphitheater.

Saturday evening concert & Havdalah - as the sun sets, we will gather for a special outdoor concert with a klezmer band, dancing, singing and of course food! Music has always been an integral part of CBE, and this evening will be a joyous celebration of harmony.

Sunday (Sept 8) Family & Kids Carnival - what does the future of CBE look like if not for our children? Our children are the hope for perpetuating the rich culture of CBE. As we bless our children each Shabbat, let’s also bless their energy, enthusiasm and fearlessness. Games like gaga ball (in our new gaga ball pit!) and other activities will keep the kids busy and engaged while parents socialize with one another at this fun mid-day gathering at CBE.
