Youth Group Kickoff

Sunday, October 17, 2021 11 Cheshvan 5782

7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

We’d like to invite you and your teen/s to an introduction to this year’s Youth Program open to current 7th grade – 9th grade students.

We know It’s not easy being a teenager (especially during a global pandemic). Both inside and outside of school, the pressure is on, and issues like self-esteem, body image, competition, and relationships add to the noise. This is why real friendships and trusted mentors are important; creating a safe space where Jewish teens can share a common experience—where they can freely speak their minds, listen to different perspectives, and ask big questions.

Geographically isolated as we are, it’s particularly challenging to find meaningful, Jewish engagement for our bonei and post-bonei mitzvah teens. Moving Traditions’ Rosh Hodesh, Shevet, Kulam and Tzelem monthly groups for teen girls, teen guys and/or nonbinary and trans teens gives Jewish teens a unique opportunity to talk openly about issues that matter most to them in safe spaces with other teens, with adults and peers they can trust—all while having a good time, and making good friends.

Join us Sunday October 17th at CBE with group leaders, Tal Arnold and Rebekah Romberg, and Moving Traditions representative Jen Kraft. Learn about the program and how your teen can be involved.  You won’t regret it!
